New Windshield Wiper Law

Effective January 29, 2007 all motorists MUST turn on their headlights whenever they use their windshield wipers in inclement weather. This new law applies when wipers are fully on or in intermittent mode. Violators will be fined $25.00, but fees and other costs will increase the amount to $100.00.

Also, motorists will suffer substantial penalties if snow or ice on the vehicle injures or kills someone. This is the first winter for this new law. More information can be obtained by visiting PennDot's website at www.penndot.com

Fee Schedule - 2007

• Accident Reports - $15.00 each
• All Other Reports - $15.00 each
• Alarm Registration - $25.00
• Alarm Renewal - $15.00 per year
• Solicitors Permit - $25.00 per 6 months
• Wrecker on Call - $100.00
