Emergency Contact Information for "CAN"

The Township urges residents to keep the contact numbers they provide to the Township for emergencies up-to-date. Upper Makefield uses the services of the Community Alert Network (CAN) - a high-speed telephone notification service that allows the Township to make automated emergency phone calls to all residents nearly simultaneously using computer, telephone, and voice technology. Customized, prerecorded CAN messages are sent to residents based on "zones" and customized lists defined by the Township. CAN is very helpful in emergencies because it frees emergency responders and other personnel from the very time-consuming task of phoning residents.
