Upper Makefield Township

The Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 as part of its regular Board of Supervisors meeting to receive comments on the Township's Draft Act 537 Sewer Facilities Plan.  The meeting begins at 7:30 pm.  By law, municipalities in Pennsylvania are required to have an Act 537 Plan in place to address present and future sewage disposal needs, including private on-lot systems, private small-flow facilities and Township-owned public sewage facilities.  Following public review, the Plan must be approved the the Department of Environmental Protection (EPA).  A full copy of the Plan is available for public review at the Township Building, 1076 Eagle Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania from Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Click here to view a Letter to Residents with an Executive Summary and Act 537 Plan Fact Sheet.
